I'll be a college graduate this week.
I'll be 25 in less than a month.
People have been treating me like an "adult," when did I turn into an adult?
I had so much to do yesterday, I was up from 8am Monday until 7am Tuesday...slept for 2 hours...then started all over again.
There is a very manly, attractive man in my life that knows how to do things like use power tools, fix cars, etc...he also has extremely huge muscles, blonde hair, glittering greenish/brownish/blueish/hazel eyes (depending on the day and what he's wearing)...he also can even do a little latin dancing, and is basically wonderful. He taught me a lot of cool stuff yesterday about building houses and installing home theater systems, it was fun.
Life is crazy. That is all.
I love it.

Running Mad, Trying Not to Faint....
Just a brief status update on life this week...
finished my internship - what a load off!
got an A+ (literally, 101/100) on my semester research paper, which I wrote in one night.
got my stitches out...but my thumb hasn't quite grown back together yet, gross.
have slept approximately 15 hours all week. I repeat, gross.
have looked like crap all week. again I repeat, gross. I don't think I've done my hair once this week. shame. on. me. pathetic.
been late to work 4 out of 5 days....that whole major lack of sleep thing is getting the better of me.
finally found a place to live - woohoo!
planned a trip to california, can't wait to get home to the beach.
wanted to give up completely on school and all other stressors. its a daily tempation to just stop fulfulling my slightly unimportant responsibilities.
vange and nathan tried to convince me to blow off everything and go to california with them this week, from thursday thru saturday - I was so close to giving in.
made 5 books, and did so successfully without cutting any fingers off. accomplishment.
brain stopped functioning before the week started. i need some serious sleep. i haven't even let myself watch one episode of lost or any other show this week...and that's usually my relaxation time...which means that I haven't had any relaxation time.
you can see how scrambled my thoughts are. i will stop now.
the end.

Thumbs...Part #2
So, over the past week since I cut my thumb and have had little use of it, I've been keenly aware of all the things that you need thumbs for, or in particular your left thumb. So here it is, things you might not think about too often because they're all just second nature, or "automatic" processes (we just learned about that in my human development class...way to be applicable information! haha!)
1. Buttoning your jeans
2. Putting your hair in a ponytail
3. Doing anything to your hair really, except brushing it, that only requires one hand.
4. Squeezing shampoo/conditioner out of the bottles while in the shower.
5. Cutting paper...you've got to hold the piece of paper with one hand and cut with the other, but it's hard to hold it steady without using your thumb.
6. Putting mascara and eye shadow on your left eye.
7. Tying knots in string.
8. Threading needles.
9. Pouring milk or anything else into a cup.
10. Opening any time of jar or container with a lid.
11. Doing intensive bookbinding homework.
12. Cooking.
13. Turning deadbolts on doors.
14. Turning keys.
15. Holding a plate in your hand.
16. Cutting your food! Holy cow, I feel like I'm 2...I've had to have people help me cut my food. Ugh. It's getting better now that it doesn't hurt quite as much.
17. Sleeping. I know, let me explain. I usually sleep with my left arm above my head, under the pillow. I haven't been able to do that this week, because I can't squish my thumb like that because it hurts, so I've had to change my sleeping position. SSSOOOOOO annoying!
18. Peeling a banana.
19. Peeling anything, especially things with wrappers.
20. Buttoning your shirt.
The list goes on and on, but there's a little sample. Moral of the story? Don't be an idiot like me....
