A Visit from the C-Monster

Yesterday was a beautiful, foggy, kinda chilly day in San Clemente. But luckily it was brightened up significantly by the visit of a dear friend, the C-Monster...aka Chris. His little brother just got home from his mission and so he was out in San Diego picking him up. We spent the day playing at the beach, he even got me to go in the water despite it's frigid temperature. I'm a baby, I know. He didn't believe me when I told him how cold it actually was, not until he got in and was shocked.

That's Chris catching an ok wave...it was a green day, and there were hardly any waves.

After a couple hours of little to no waves, we were cold and called it quits.

Haha...so Chris never smiles normal in pictures, so neither was I - come to find out this is the only picture we have where he is smiling for reals and I'm not. But just you wait for the next picture...it's much more true to character of how it normally goes.

Dorks.

After the beach, we spent the afternoon playing a mean game of battleship (while watching the classic 80's flick "Top Gun"), which, I'm proud to say I dominated at - I totally sunk all his battleships and rescued my captured soldier before he'd even sunk 3 of my ships!!! All in all, it was a fantastic day, and so good to just spend time with a good friend down here in Cali. I still don't know a lot of people down here, so it was definitely refreshing. Thanks Chris!

  1. Sounds like a fun, if chilly, day! Did you get burned to a crisp? Those cold days are deceptive - you don't feel like you're burning because it's chilly outside, but when you get home you find out you're FRIED!
