A Quicky

This post will be short, but just wanted to put out and update.

I'm heading out to California THIS WEEK! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. I'm leaving Tuesday afternoon and just driving to St. George, and spending the night there. Then I'll finish the trip on Wednesday. I haven't driven all the way to California by myself in several years, so I figured I'd split it up just to be safe and not overly tired. I haven't been this stoked about something in a long time. There are mixed emotions though. More to come on that later....

I just made cepilinai - a traditional Lithuanian dish. I haven't eaten it in probably a year. I love it. I pulverized potatoes by hand for 2 hours, while watching a movie with my roommate. Then we packed the potatoes with meat, boiled them up, tossed a little bacon & sour cream sauce on top. Heavenly. Doesn't sound that great, but believe me, it's amazing. Here is what they look like, although these are not the ones I made. Mmm...skanus!

And, I feel like I've been home from my mission forever, oh wait, I have. 2.5 years to be exact. And soon I'm going to go visit the sisters from the second group I taught at the MTC. They just got home. Crazy how time flies. Well, that's all for now folks. Happy Reading.

  3. Love the blog and I'm so happy that you're happy. But the teasers are killing me - "More on that later" is simply NOT fair! email me when you get a chance - I'm fussing a bit over you!
